High pressure drives mould deeper into render. A soft wash kills it where it grows.
Render and painted surfaces are porous. A high-pressure jet forces water, and the growth with it, further into those pores, and it spreads the spores across a wider patch of wall. The facade looks clean for a few months, then the green comes back, and it's harder to shift the second time.
A soft wash works the other way round. The solution kills the mould, algae and lichen at the root, then a low-pressure rinse carries it away. Nothing is blasted, so the render and paint aren't at risk, and most facades stay clean for years rather than months, depending on how much shade and moisture the wall gets.

Clean Haven Exterior Care looks after the outside of apartment blocks, strata complexes, warehouses, retail sites and industrial facilities across NSW, working for property managers, strata managers, facility managers and owners.
On a building this size, the cleaning is only part of the job. Access has to be planned around residents, tenants and vehicles, the scope needs to be in writing, the site may need safety documents, and someone has to show the committee what was done. We do all of that. When a job calls for it, we also organise elevated work platforms, boom lifts, waste management and IBC tanks.
